Ok, I have a primary(9.6.9) and a replica(9.6.12) PostgreSQL server.
I have read the formal definition over here
But I fail to understand why does all of these information i.e replay_location, flushed_location, write_location (when I run select * from pg_stat_replication) is displayed on my primary server display. Since the doc says clear say it is supposed to be part of this standby server.
and when I run pg_stat_replication on the standby or replica server I see nothing.
Any anyone explains why is this so?
Any clue?

Understood because of the standby server generally sent this information to the primary
