I want to play a sequence of sounds with some intervals in between like:
sound 1, 2-second pause, sound 2, 2-second pause and so on.

My existing code works but when the page is viewed on iPhone only the first sound is played.

I know there are some limitations with iOS but is there any way to overcome them? My existing code:

$("#target").click(function()

var tracks = document.getElementsByTagName("audio");

$.each(tracks, function(i)
setTimeout(function()
tracks[i].play();
, i * 2000);
);

);

<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<audio src="https://actions.google.com/sounds/v1/cartoon/cartoon_cowbell.ogg"></audio>
<audio src="https://actions.google.com/sounds/v1/cartoon/cartoon_boing.ogg"></audio>
<audio src="https://actions.google.com/sounds/v1/cartoon/concussive_guitar_hit.ogg"></audio>

<div id="target">Enable sound</div>
