I'm not sure how to google this issue so I decided to post it here:

I'm trying to parse a JSON from a query result but so far no luck.

I figured the best thing I could use is something like JSON_VALUE so I wrote it like this:

SELECT JSON_VALUE(`table`.`column`, '$.email') AS `email`
FROM `table`

Here's how the JSON looks and I'm not sure how I could parse it since I don't fully understand all the extra information in it.

user information
a:8:s:3:"key";s:32:"3000";s:5"email";s:21:"hello@google.com";

any help would be appreciated it. Thanks in advance.
