I have two Java projects, one as a dependency of another (lets say B depends on A). Recently I was forced to obfuscate A which I did with Proguard and it worked great. Now I would like to make B work with obfuscated A but I don't want to obfuscate it.

I was hoping that running Proguard on B with A's mapping.txt file as -applymapping parameter would do the trick if I just -keep class * *; -dontshrink -dontoptimize but this does not seem to work. When I decompile processed class files I see that imports of A's classes were not updated.

When I skip -keep class * *; the result is similar - imports are not updated but obfuscation is done.

Does anyone know if what I am trying to do is even possible with Proguard? If yes - how to do it? Thank you for any input.
