I use CardIO dependency version 5.5.1 in my Android application and it is working just fine.

My application is being preloaded by Huawei to their devices and they informed me that my APK is using a version of OpenCV (2.4.13) that has a vulnerability. They got a score of 8.8 in their CVSS assessment.

My question is, is there a way to update the version of OpenCV that CardIO uses or can someone from the card.io team tell me if there is a new version coming out soon to resolve this issue?

Here is an extract of the report they sent me Huawei CVSS report

  • Which 2.4.13.x? You're missing the last number. So far there have been 6, and 3 of those have been released after this issue has been fixed and backported. (You have to read "This affects Opencv 3.3 and earlier." as "versions released chronologically before 3.3")
