I'm currently using gradle's incubating cpp-library to build some shared libraries. For the most part it's going well, but I can't seem to figure out how to configure the output shared object file name extension. What I have is something like: 'libMyLib.so', and what I want is something like 'libMyLib.so.1.0' where the .1.0 is the version information the project is configured with.
Since the feature is still incubating, the documentation is a bit lacking. Any thoughts? My gradle file is pretty simple at this point.
apply plugin: 'cpp-library'
project.version = '1.0'
project.group = 'com.mygroup'
library
baseName = 'MyLib'
targetMachines = [machines.linux.x86, machines.inux.x86_64]
I should add, any solution needs to be compatible with the maven-publish plugin as well. So renaming the file after it's been generated is probably not going to work out.
