I have built a Power BI dashboard which uses the Direct Query Mode. (August 2018 version) Every Sunday an ETL job is scheduled to run which updates the data for this dashboard's table using a full load. After this, the report refresh is scheduled. The problem is that after this refresh, the Power BI Report Server is too slow to load the report dashboard. Normally it takes 4-8 secs but after refresh, it takes about 15 minutes for the first load, After the report has been run for a few times, the processing time gets back to normal. Can someone please help me understand why this might be happening?(Just about 300000 rows)

You said it is in Direct Query Mode, you should monitor the queries on your source and discard the possibility of the source being the source of your problem.

@mxix yes, have already verified it. Not an issue from the source. actually, for one user it loads up in a few seconds but for another one, just does not load up...almost 8-9 mins.
