Our WordPress database has several posts that has meta key values which are IDs of different staff members.
For example, if there are sveral posts called Bacon which has meta_key
called staff_member
, and three of those meta keys has a meta_value
of 19 (19 is just the ID of a staff member), I don't know how to change this script...
$args = array(
'post_type' => 'food',
'posts_per_page' => -1
);
$query = new WP_Query($args);
echo '<ul>';
while ($query->have_posts()) : $query->the_post();
$the_count = '';
$staff_member = get_post_meta( get_the_ID(), 'staff_member', true );
echo '<li>' . get_the_title() . ' - staff member ' . $staff_member . '(' . $the_count . ' posts)</li>';
endwhile;
echo '</ul>';
wp_reset_postdata();
...so that it displays a list of the post titles with relevant counts of the team members next to them. So for example, the output might look like this:
Bacon - staff member 19 (3 posts)
Bacon - staff member 33 (11 posts)
Eggs - staff member 10 (7 posts)
Cheese - staff member 21 (2 posts)
Basically, I'm trying to show how many times a post was created by each staff member. Taking the first result an as example, staff member 19 has created 3 posts called 'Bacon'. The second result, staff member 33 has created 11 posts called 'Bacon'. The third line, staff member 10 has created 7 posts called 'Eggs'. You get the idea...
Thanks in advance.
