Набо́б (Urdu: نواب, Hindi: नवाब; від арабського нувваб — намісники) —



  1. Набоб (правитель) — в Індії та Пакистані титул правителів провінцій, що відокремилися від Імперії Великих Моголів.


  2. Набоб (експлуататор) — в Англії та Франції 18 століття так стали звати осіб (головним чином вищих урядовців Ост-Індійської компанії), які нажилися багатством на Сході.


  3. Набоб (жуїр) — переносно — багата людина, життя якої визначається східною пишнотою.
