Чемпіона́т Ма́льти з футбо́лу, Мальті́йська Прем'є́р Лі́га — найсильніша футбольна ліга Мальти з футболу.



Історія |


Перші змагання пройшли в 1909 році. До 1980 року Прем'єр ліга називалася Вищою лігою, але була перейменована і так залишилася донині. Змагання проходять у два раунди, який триває з серпня по травень. У першому турі всі 10 команд грають один проти одного 2 рази. Коли кожен клуб зіграв 18 матчів, чемпіонат ділиться на 2 частини і проходить боротьба за розподіл місць. Останні два клуби переводяться в Першу лігу. Переможець чемпіонату грає в першому кваліфікаційному раунді Ліги Чемпіонів УЄФА, срібний призер грає в першому кваліфікаційному матчі Ліги Європи УЄФА. Володар кубка Мальти отримує право грати в другому кваліфікаційному раунді Ліги Європи УЄФА.
